Overview

The Climate Tech Challenge is a partnership between NASSCOM Foundation and Cadence that leverages technology and social innovation to address the climate crisis. The program provides CSR grant funding, resources, and mentorship to climate-focused startups seeking to create environmental impact, with a focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, and greenhouse gas emission reduction technologies.

Eligibility

  • Entity must be a private limited company, partnership firm, or LLP
  • Not older than 10 years from incorporation
  • Annual turnover must not exceed Rs. 100 crore
  • Must hold DPIIT certification under the Startup India scheme
  • Must develop a new or significantly improved climate solution with scalability potential

Funding Purpose

Two finalists each receive a CSR grant of Rs. 10 lakh, intended to support deployment of their climate solutions and stakeholder engagement.

Application Process

Applicants apply through the online portal. In Round 1, applications are reviewed and narrowed to the top 10 startups. In Round 2, the Jury Round, the selected 10 startups pitch to a jury panel that decides winners based on market potential, climate impact, and regulatory compliance.
