Overview

The Cummins India Foundation CSR Grant is a Corporate Social Responsibility collaboration between Cummins India Foundation and Venture Center, launched in FY 2021-2022, to support entrepreneurs and startups working on technologies with potential social impact. Venture Center is a DST-NSTEDB and DBT-BIRAC approved incubator, and it administers the grant on Cummins' behalf, with a Program Oversight Committee evaluating applications and overseeing implementation on a case by case basis.

Eligibility

  • Technology entrepreneurs associated with Venture Center
  • No restriction on entrepreneur's professional background
  • Preference given to women entrepreneurs, startups with validated technology in energy or environment, and social enterprises

Funding Purpose

The grant funds field testing, pilot studies, and implementation of appropriate technologies that address social needs, with a particular focus on energy and environment, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, air pollution, water, and waste management.
