Ideation Grant, Pre-seed (via iStart Rajasthan)

Overview

The Ideation Grant is a pre-seed stage financial incentive offered by the Government of Rajasthan under its iStart Rajasthan startup program, run by the state's Department of IT and Communications. It provides a direct cash grant to help very early stage founders validate and develop their startup idea before it reaches a working product or revenue stage. The base grant amount is 2,40,000 rupees, with an additional bonus available for women led startups.

Eligibility

  • Startup must be at the pre-seed stage
  • Startup must be registered under the iStart Rajasthan program
  • The idea must meet the criteria set by the Evaluation Committee
  • Startups with more than 50 percent equity held by women founders qualify for an additional 60,000 rupees on top of the base grant

Application Process

Applicants register on the iStart Rajasthan portal (istart.rajasthan.gov.in) as a startup and apply for the Ideation Grant scheme through the platform; the idea is then assessed by the scheme's Evaluation Committee before a grant is approved. Contact: startups.doit@rajasthan.gov.in, 0141-2929831.
