iDEX ADITI, Critical Technologies (via DRDO iDEX)

Overview

iDEX ADITI (Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX) is one of the challenge categories under India's Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), operating within the iDEX framework launched in 2018 to promote innovation in Indian defence. ADITI is aimed specifically at critical defence technologies that require substantial investment and longer development timelines than the standard iDEX tracks.

Eligibility

  • Startups as defined by India's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)
  • MSMEs as defined under the MSME Act, 2006
  • Individual innovators and research or academic institutions
  • Indian companies with majority Indian ownership

Funding Purpose

ADITI provides the highest grant support among iDEX programs, up to Rs. 25 crore per winning project, contingent on Product Development Budget approval, over a development timeline of typically 36 months, meant for co-creation of novel, indigenized, and innovative technologies that close capability gaps identified by the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

Application Process

Applicants register or log in at www.idex.gov.in, select the ADITI challenge category, complete an application form focused on technical merit, and submit it before the stated deadline; ADITI challenges open periodically, typically twice a year.
