Overview

Meta Pragati, AI for Impact is a CSR-funded initiative from Meta that empowers Indian nonprofits to harness AI in addressing pressing challenges across livelihoods, skilling, healthcare, agriculture, and education. The program is implemented in collaboration with NITI Aayog and ARTPARK, and targets equitable, evidence-driven AI solutions for disadvantaged communities, combining seed-stage grant funding with hands-on technology mentorship and structured evaluation support.

Eligibility

  • Must be a registered Indian nonprofit (Trust, Section 8 Company, or Society)
  • Operational for 1 to 10 years, or an alumni organisation of specific incubators
  • Annual budget of at least Rs. 1 crore
  • AI or technology must be integral to core operations, or the organisation must show demonstrable capacity to integrate it
  • Must possess a low fidelity or working prototype, pilot, or proof of concept

Funding Purpose

Seed stage grants of up to Rs. 1 crore per organisation are meant to help nonprofits build and scale AI-enabled solutions, supported by dedicated technology mentors, peer learning sessions, masterclasses, workshops, and ethical AI awareness training.

Application Process

Applications opened in December 2025 with a deadline of December 31, 2025. Shortlisted organisations go through up to 3 interview rounds. Selected organisations are notified afterward, then agreements are signed and funds disbursed.
