Eligibility
- Open to nonprofit organizations, for profit companies, international organizations, government agencies and academic institutions
- Applications led by women, or in collaboration with women led organizations, are particularly encouraged
- Applications from, or in collaboration with, institutions based in low and middle income countries are particularly encouraged
Funding Purpose
Funding supports the development of improved multiplex assays that measure biomarkers such as iron status, B vitamins, thyroid function and inflammation markers, intended for population level surveillance use in reference laboratories rather than for individual clinical diagnosis. Two funding tiers are offered: Alternative A (minimum scope) up to $200,000 over a 12 month term, and Alternative B (optimistic scope) up to $800,000 over a 24 month term.
