Overview
The MIT Solve Global Challenge, run as the 10 for 10 Challenge for MIT Solve's 10th anniversary, is a global call for technology-based social impact solutions that are already operating or growing at scale, spanning health, climate, learning, economic prosperity, and Indigenous community support. MIT Solve runs the challenge with a judging panel drawn from technology, philanthropy, social impact, academia, and environmental organizations.
Eligibility
- Solutions must be technology-based social impact initiatives that are already operating or growing at scale
- Applicants must demonstrate consistent product or service availability with real, demonstrated results
- Solutions with only pilot-stage results are unlikely to be selected
- Previous MIT Solve challenge participants are eligible to apply again
- Indigenous community-focused solutions are eligible globally
Funding Purpose
The base prize package gives ten winners at least $100,000 each in unrestricted prize funding, plus feature placement at the Solve Challenge Finals at the UN General Assembly in New York, access to MIT's innovation ecosystem, mentorship, pro-bono legal support, and long-term funding and skills training. Additional specialized prizes of up to $150,000 are available in categories such as AI for Humanity, workforce development, mental health, smallholder agriculture, maternal and child health, marine technology, and climate-positive food systems.
Application Process
Applications open May 21, 2026, with the solution submission deadline on June 5, 2026. Semifinalists are selected by June 25, 2026, and finalists and winners are announced September 22, 2026, at the Solve Challenge Finals. Solutions are judged on Potential for Impact, Feasibility, Innovative Approach, Human-Centered Design, and Scalability.
