Overview
A student project seed-funding and campus innovation-hub network run by the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, setting up NAIN centres at higher-education institutions outside Bengaluru Urban district. Students identify local problems and build frugal-innovation prototypes, with each host institution receiving annual funding to support up to 10 student teams.
Eligibility
- Project Leader or Primary Applicant must be an on-roll, full-time student
- Teams of 3 to 5 members; alumni or local entrepreneurs may join but cannot lead the team
- Projects must complete within 6 months
Funding Purpose
Up to Rs 3 lakh seed funding per student team; each NAIN host institution receives Rs 30 lakh per year to fund up to 10 teams.
