Overview

NIDHI PRAYAS at IIIT Delhi Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIITD-IC) is a government supported scheme that provides prototype funding to young and aspiring innovators, helping them convert their ideas into tangible prototypes under the center's local PRAYAS program.

Eligibility

  • Applicants cannot have previously received NIDHI PRAYAS support
  • The same idea cannot be funded under both NIDHI PRAYAS and NIDHI EIR programs

Funding Purpose

Maximum support of Rs. 10 lakhs, with the actual amount set by the local monitoring committee, can be used for outsourcing R&D and design work, raw materials, testing, business travel, and patent filing (capped at 10% of the grant) and contingencies (capped at 10%). Funds cannot be used for salary payments, loan repayment, personal rent, or infrastructure creation. Priority technology areas include manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, clean-tech, energy, water, and IoT.

Applications are submitted through the official portal referenced on the IIITD-IC site. Selected applicants must pre-incubate or incubate with the PRAYAS center for the 12 month project duration, with a possible 6 month extension.
