Overview
The NSIC Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS) is run by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) under India's Ministry of MSME to enlist Micro and Small Enterprises for participation in government procurement. Registered units gain access to benefits under the Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises, including preferential access to tenders floated by central government departments and PSUs.
Eligibility
- Udyam Registration is mandatory
- Business must be in the manufacturing or service sector; traders are excluded
- Startup enterprises under 1 year old qualify only for provisional registration, limited to Rs. 5 lakh
- Ineligible activities include medicine or drug manufacturing (except Ayurvedic or Unani alternatives), wholesale trading, and blacklisted enterprises
Funding Purpose
Registration does not provide direct cash funding but confers procurement benefits, including free tender sets, exemption from Earnest Money Deposit payments, a price band facility allowing units within L1+15 percent to supply up to 25 percent of requirements at L1 price, and a consortia facility for tender marketing.

Applicants first obtain Udyam Registration, then complete an online form at www.nsicspronline.com, submit required documents, and undergo a third-party inspection before receiving a certificate valid for 2 years.
