Overview
AIC NITTE Incubation Centre is an approved incubator under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), a Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) initiative providing seed funding for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialisation. AIC NITTE has distributed over Rs. 470 lakhs to startups through the scheme to date.
Eligibility
- DPIIT-recognised status, incorporated within two years of application
- Viable business idea with market fit and scaling potential
- Received less than Rs. 10 lakhs in prior government monetary support
- Minimum 51 percent Indian promoter shareholding
- Must not have previously received SISFS funding
- Registration through the official SISFS portal
Funding Purpose
The scheme provides grants of up to Rs. 20 lakhs, disbursed in milestone-based installments, for validation, prototyping, and product trials, and investment of up to Rs. 50 lakhs via convertible debentures or debt instruments for market entry and scaling, all aimed at helping ventures reach investment readiness.
