Overview
The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a Government of India (DPIIT) scheme providing financial assistance to early-stage startups, implemented locally in Gujarat through i-Hub Gujarat (under SSIP 2.0).
Eligibility
- Startup must be DPIIT-recognized and incorporated not more than 2 years before applying
- Must have a business idea for a product or service with market fit, viable commercialization, and scope for scaling
- Shareholding must be at least 51% held by Indian promoters
- Must not have received more than Rs 10 lakh in support from any other central or state government scheme
Funding Purpose
Nationally, SISFS funds are meant for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization, provided as up to Rs 20 lakh in grants and up to Rs 50 lakh as Compulsorily Convertible Debentures.
