Overview

The Aerospace and Defence Acceleration Fund is a strategic initiative of IIMA Ventures (formerly CIIE.CO) together with Jaivel Aerospace, designed to identify and nurture the next generation of deep tech innovators in the strategic sectors of aerospace and defence. IIMA Ventures contributes venture building expertise while Jaivel Aerospace contributes global design and manufacturing exposure, and the fund targets a portfolio of 8 to 10 high impact startups.

Eligibility

  • Early stage startups at pre-seed or seed stage seeking their first institutional investment in aerospace, defence or space-tech
  • Must be legally incorporated in India, or actively establishing an Indian entity
  • Must work in areas such as autonomy, propulsion, AI, advanced materials or other deep technologies with dual use potential and national impact

Funding Purpose

Each selected startup receives USD $400,000 in pre-seed or seed funding, structured as equity or equity-linked instruments, meant to fund a startup's first institutional round in aerospace, defence or space-tech, paired with technical mentorship, access to global manufacturing networks, industry partnerships and pilot opportunities.
