Offered by AIC Banasthali Vidyapith Foundation
Overview
MeitY's Startup Accelerators for Product Innovation, Development and Growth (SAMRIDH) scheme, offered through AIC Banasthali Vidyapith Foundation as an empanelled accelerator partner. Software-product startups join a 6-month acceleration cohort and can receive a first round of matching investment of up to ₹40 lakh (average ₹30 lakh per startup), split equally between MeitY and the accelerator/investor, alongside mentoring, legal assistance, and investor-connect support culminating in a Demo Day pitch to VCs and angel investors.
Eligibility
- IT/software-product startup with an existing working solution and proof of concept
- Selected into a cohort by a MeitY-empanelled SAMRIDH accelerator partner (here, AIC Banasthali Vidyapith Foundation)
- Startups from MeitY's TIDE 2.0, Centres of Excellence, MeitY Startup Hub, or NIDHI programs are treated as feeder candidates, though the scheme is not limited to only these
Funding Purpose
To help IT/software-product startups scale via a 6-month accelerator cohort combined with a first round of matching investment (up to ₹40 lakh, average ₹30 lakh) from MeitY, matched equally by the accelerator/investor based on the startup's growth stage and valuation.
Application Process
Apply directly to AIC Banasthali Vidyapith Foundation, MeitY's empanelled SAMRIDH accelerator partner, via its funding-support page. Selected startups join a structured 6-month acceleration cohort (5-10 startups per cohort) covering market-research diagnostics, mentoring, legal/IP assistance, and a Demo Day pitch to VCs and angel investors. Based on the outcome, MeitY Startup Hub commits an investment of up to ₹40 lakh (average ₹30 lakh), matched equally by the accelerator, typically structured as a SAFE or Promissory Note (Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares), though startups may negotiate equity, debt, or another financing mix. The accelerator itself does not take equity for the acceleration services it provides.
