Overview
The DST NIDHI Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Programme is a fellowship supporting aspiring entrepreneurs exploring innovative business ideas, delivered through the Foundation for Technology and Business Incubation (FTBI), a Section 8 company supported by DST, Government of India, based at NIT Rourkela, Odisha.
Eligibility
- Must be an Indian citizen with government-approved nationality proof
- Minimum 4 years of formal full-time undergraduate/postgraduate education in science/engineering, or a 3-year degree/diploma program plus 2 years of full-time work experience
- Must demonstrate commitment to exploring a technology business idea
- Cannot hold concurrent employment or other fellowships
- Cannot hold more than 10 percent shareholding in another company
Funding Purpose
Selected applicants can win up to Rs. 3.6 lakhs, along with incubation, mentoring, and additional funding support, intended for those who demonstrate an ability to build a scalable technology business startup. Preference is given to ideas showing larger technology uncertainties, ideas leveraging publicly-funded research, or those addressing social impact.

Applicants submit via a Google Forms link, providing a formal business plan and business presentation with investment proposal.
