Overview

The Genesis EIR (Entrepreneur-in-Residence) Program is a strategic initiative under IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre's (IIMUIC) GENESIS scheme, designed to support early stage startups working in cutting edge technology domains such as Electronics and IT, Big Data, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Health Tech, AI in Agriculture, EdTech, Blockchain, and AR/VR.

Eligibility

  • Indian citizen applicants only
  • Early stage startups not older than 1 year
  • Must not have received prior external funding exceeding Rs. 10 lakh, including government support
  • Idea must be original and non-duplicative

Funding Purpose

Funding support of up to Rs. 10 lakh is meant to support MVP development and pilot validation rather than general operational use, alongside 1:1 mentorship, access to co-working space and resources, and investor connections for future funding rounds.

Application Process

The process runs through six steps: eligibility verification, screening committee review, expert committee notification, final expert committee decision, email communication to approved applicants, and registration in the pre-incubation/incubation program.
