Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (via IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre)

Overview

The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), delivered at IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre (IIMUIC) in partnership with the government's Startup India initiative (DPIIT), provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry and commercialisation. It pairs funding with 12 months of mentoring, acceleration, workshops and networking support delivered by IIMUIC.

Eligibility

  • Must be a DPIIT recognised startup incorporated within 2 years of application
  • Must have a viable business idea with market fit and scalability potential
  • Must not have received prior monetary support exceeding Rs. 10 lakh under government schemes
  • Minimum 51% Indian promoter shareholding

Funding Purpose

Support is split between seed investment of up to Rs. 30 lakh and grant-in-aid of up to Rs. 10 lakh per startup, meant to fund proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, and market entry or commercialisation work, alongside 12 months of incubation support.
