Overview

The Mizoram Startup Ignition Fund, run by the Mizoram Startup Mission (MSUM), is an accelerator fund lasting 6 to 9 months that supports DPIIT-recognised startups in early and growth phases through a mix of financial instruments including equity, convertible debentures, and non-convertible debentures. It is designed to help technology-driven startups overcome financial barriers and compete in high-growth sectors.

Eligibility

  • DPIIT-recognised startup at early traction stage
  • Registered and operational in Mizoram
  • Should demonstrate potential in sectors such as IT, agriculture, or renewable energy

Funding Purpose

Maximum support is Rs. 25 lakh per startup, with the MSUM Executive Committee determining specific amounts and terms, intended to help startups overcome financial obstacles and scale in high-growth sectors.

Application Process

Applicants must submit a thorough business plan covering technology, market analysis, and financial projections, along with a detailed proposal explaining how the funds will address current business obstacles. Applications are accepted during windows set by the MSUM Executive Committee.
