Overview

DPIIT's annual national recognition and cash-prize competition across 20 innovation categories, such as Women-led Innovator, Health-Tech Excellence, Agri Innovation, and NextGen/student founders, celebrating startups for innovation, sustainability, and social impact. The most recent cycle (National Startup Awards 5.0) has closed; the award is held annually, so a future cycle is expected.

Eligibility

  • DPIIT-recognised startup, registered on the Bharat Registry (BHASKAR) at the time of application
  • Must have a product, software, or process solution live in the market with applicable trade registrations (CE, FSSAI, MSME, or GST as relevant)
  • No defaults by the startup or its promoters in the last 3 financial years
  • Under 10 years since incorporation
  • 3 years of audited financials
  • May apply in up to 2 categories

Funding Purpose

Rs 10 lakh cash prize per winning startup in general award categories, awarded directly by DPIIT, plus national visibility and credibility.

Application Process

Register and apply through the Startup India portal's National Startup Awards page, submitting a pitch deck, financial statements, and a 120-second product video. Applications for the current cycle are closed; check the Startup India portal for the next cycle.
