Overview

NIDHI PRAYAS is a flagship Department of Science and Technology initiative that bridges the gap from ideation to prototype development. It has evolved into NIDHI PRAYAS 2.0, which operates through two host models, PRAYAS Centres (PCs) for early stage innovations and Advance PRAYAS Centres (APCs) for deep tech solutions, providing innovators with financial support, mentorship, and infrastructure access to design, develop, test, and validate their ideas.

Eligibility

  • Incubators can apply to host as PRAYAS Centres
  • Individual innovators pursue technology based prototypes under the PC track
  • Deep tech or advanced prototype developers apply under the APC track
  • Priority given to alignment with focus areas including energy, AI, healthcare, agriculture, defense, and manufacturing

Funding Purpose

Innovator level support of up to Rs. 20 lakhs under the PC track and up to Rs. 40 lakhs under the APC track funds transforming an idea into a validated prototype, mitigating the risk of failure along the way. Incubators hosting PRAYAS Centres separately receive capital support, prototyping grants, and annual operational support.
