Overview
The NIDHI Seed Support Program is a Department of Science and Technology initiative that provides early-stage financial assistance to promising startups incubated at recognized Technology Business Incubators, bridging the gap between prototype development and commercialization. It is administered nationally by DST, with FSID-IISc (Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development at the Indian Institute of Science) managing applications and implementation locally.
Eligibility
- Startup must be incubated (physical or virtual) and meet the program's eligibility norms as set out in the NIDHI Seed Support Program Guidelines
Funding Purpose
Funding, provided as equity, equity-linked instruments, or soft loans (up to Rs. 100 lakhs per startup, typically Rs. 10-25 lakhs), supports activities like proof of concept, product development, trials, and market entry.
