Overview

Prototype Development and Marketing Assistance is a fiscal incentive offered through the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab (ABVIL), Jharkhand, under the Jharkhand Startup Policy 2023. It supports recognized startups in the state in building prototypes of their innovations and taking them to market, with separate assistance available for both the prototyping and marketing stages.

Eligibility

  • Startup must be incorporated/registered in Jharkhand
  • Must be within seven years of incorporation (ten years for biotechnology startups)
  • Annual turnover must not exceed Rs 25 crore
  • Must be registered and recognized through the ABVIL portal and evaluated by the State Evaluation Board

Funding Purpose

The assistance provides up to Rs 10 lakh each for prototype development and for marketing assistance, meant to help startups move an idea into a working prototype and then support its go-to-market and marketing efforts.

Application Process

Startups register online through the ABVIL portal (abvil.jharkhand.gov.in). Applications are then evaluated by the State Evaluation Board, which includes government officials, industry experts, academics, and venture capital representatives, before startups are approved for the incentive.
