Overview

SAMRIDHI (Strategic Acceleration for Market, Research, Innovation and Development, a Holistic Initiative for ICPS Startups) is a flagship accelerator program run by iHub AWaDH, the IIT Ropar Technology and Innovation Foundation set up under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, as part of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems. It targets deep tech, R&D driven startups working on hardware and cyber physical systems solutions. The program runs a total corpus of 4 crore rupees to support 12 shortlisted startups, offering funding as a grant, equity, or loan depending on the startup's requirements, stage, patents, products, revenue, market, and team composition.

Eligibility

  • Growth stage startups that are pre revenue, have an MVP, or already have investment
  • Focus areas include agriculture automation and information systems, livestock health monitoring and management, water treatment and conservation, soil assessment processes, and other hardware and deep tech solutions
  • Priority given to startups with strong technology, innovation, and IP or patents

Funding Purpose

Funding of up to 50 lakh rupees per startup is meant to support technology validation and prototyping, product development and market launch, lab infrastructure and R&D, tech commercialization assistance, and exploration of global markets, alongside customized mentoring and training.

Application Process

Startups apply through the Register as Participant link on the SAMRIDHI program page. Applications go through metrics based screening by an internal committee, followed by an internal pitch before the Incubator Seed Management Committee, then a Demo Day pitch before an external expert committee of investors and VCs, after which funding is disbursed by the approved committee panel.
