Overview

The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), created by DPIIT with an outlay of Rs. 945 crore, provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization. FIED, the incubator at IIM Kashipur, is an empaneled institution delivering this scheme; FIED's SISFS cohort has disbursed funding to 23 startups totaling approximately Rs. 5 crore.

Funding Purpose

The scheme is intended to give promising startups a multiplier effect in validating their business ideas, supporting proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization, with the aim of leading to employment generation.

Applicants apply via the national portal at seedfund.startupindia.gov.in, selecting FIED (IIM Kashipur) as their preferred incubator.
