Overview

GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence Cohort 3 is implemented by MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) and supports early-stage innovators developing technology-based solutions in Electronics, IT, ICT, and DeepTech. FIED (IIM Kashipur) is one of the empaneled GENESIS incubators through which applicants can route their application.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen
  • Open to entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, students, or founders
  • Innovation must be in emerging tech areas: Electronics and IT, DeepTech, AI/ML, IoT, Semiconductor, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, AR/VR, or Immersive Tech
  • Idea/solution must be at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 1-4
  • Applicant must be based in a Tier-II or Tier-III city
  • If incorporated, the startup must be less than two years old
  • Startup must not have received financial assistance exceeding Rs. 10 lakh under any Central/State Government scheme for the same idea

Application Process

Applicants apply through the MeitY Startup Hub portal, where they must select Preference 1 and Preference 2 from the empaneled GENESIS incubators, with FIED being one option.

  3. 3Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a pitch or interview round.
  4. 4The final decision rests solely with the offering organisation.
  5. 5There is no guarantee of funding at any stage.
