Overview
The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a Government of India scheme under which DPIIT grants up to Rs. 525 lakh to selected incubators, including the PDEU Innovation and Incubation Centre (PDEU IIC) at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, for distribution to eligible startups. The scheme provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization.
Eligibility
- Startup must be incorporated within 2 years of the date of application
- Must have a technology-integrated business model or solution
- At least 51 percent shareholding held by Indian promoters
- Prior government support received must not exceed Rs. 10 lakh
Funding Purpose
Funding is provided as a grant component of up to Rs. 20 lakh and debt instruments of up to Rs. 50 lakh, intended for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization.
Application Process
PDEU IIC currently states it is not accepting applications at this moment. Interested applicants are directed to the official SISFS portal at seedfund.startupindia.gov.in, or can contact PDEU IIC at iic@pdpu.ac.in.
