State Innovation Challenge (via Startup MP)

Overview
The State Innovation Challenge is a competitive grant program run by Startup MP (Department of Industries, Government of Madhya Pradesh) that invites concepts, including from startups, to solve high-impact socio-economic problems facing the state. Selected concepts receive a substantial one-time grant along with non-monetary assistance such as regulatory relaxations and procurement support, monitored by a competent committee through the life of the selected projects.
Eligibility
- Open to all types of institutions, including startups
- Startups must have DPIIT recognition
- Startups must have MP-based GST registration
- Concept must address one of the identified high-impact socio-economic problem statements of the state
Funding Purpose
The grant, up to Rs. 1 crore, is meant to fund the development and deployment of a selected solution addressing a critical socio-economic problem in Madhya Pradesh. Funds are released in up to four phases as the project progresses. Additional support includes exemption or reimbursement of licence charges and two years of procurement assistance within the state.

Interested applicants download and submit the Application form for State Innovation Challenge, available as a PDF on the Startup MP portal. Selected concepts are assessed, monitored, and evaluated by a competent committee, with grant disbursement occurring in up to four phases.
