Overview

Y-Point Venture Capital Fund is a INR 250 crore deep-tech venture capital fund launched by the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT Bombay, described as India's first incubator-linked VC fund dedicated to deep-tech startups. It invests in pre-seed and seed-stage companies in areas such as AI, advanced computing, manufacturing and materials, space and defence technology, nuclear technology, climate tech, and healthcare, supporting ventures from IIT Bombay as well as other premier research institutions.

Eligibility

  • Pre-seed or seed-stage deep-tech startups
  • Founded by or affiliated with IIT Bombay, or emerging from other premier research institutions
  • Working in AI, advanced computing, manufacturing and materials, space and defence technology, nuclear technology, climate tech, or healthcare

Funding Purpose

Equity investment with ticket sizes of up to INR 15 crore per startup, drawn from the fund's total INR 250 crore corpus, targeting 25 to 30 startups over the fund's life.

Contact SINE, IIT Bombay directly through its official channels to discuss the fund and express interest; the fund had its first close in December 2025 and is actively deploying capital.
