MeitY TIDE 2.0 Grant (via IIM Calcutta Innovation Park)

Overview

The MeitY TIDE 2.0 Grant is part of a national Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) program intended to strengthen 2,000 technology startups working with ICT enabled technologies in areas of national concern. IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP), a nonprofit company set up under the aegis of IIM Calcutta, serves as a TIDE 2.0 G1 Centre for East and North-East India and runs a 12 month incubation program for selected teams under the grant.

Eligibility

  • Indian citizenship required
  • Team must have a working proof of concept
  • Solution must be ICT enabled and address a pressing need in healthcare, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, infrastructure or transportation, environment or clean tech, or clean energy
  • At least one team member must commit to the venture full time
  • Cannot be combined with fellowships or grants from other organisations

Funding Purpose

The grant, Rs. 7 lakh disbursed over a year, is meant to help a team develop a minimum viable product starting from an existing proof of concept, funding the proof of concept to MVP translation stage rather than later stage scaling.
