Overview

The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization, enabling them to reach a level where they can raise investment from angel investors or venture capitalists, or seek loans from commercial banks or financial institutions. GUSEC (the incubator at Gujarat University) has been an empaneled institution under SISFS since 2022, serving as a delivery partner for the national scheme.

Eligibility

  • DPIIT-recognized startup incorporated within the scheme's specified window
  • Involves technology in the core product/service, business model, or distribution model
  • Minimum 51 percent Indian promoter shareholding

Funding Purpose

Funds support proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization activities, intended to help startups reach a fundable stage for subsequent investment or institutional lending.
