YUKTI Innovation Challenge

Overview

The YUKTI Innovation Challenge (YIC) is MoE's Innovation Cell and AICTE's direct funding scheme routed through the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) network, disbursing Rs 1-10 lakh grants per innovation. An official 2023 disbursement list confirmed 135 named student/faculty recipients.

Eligibility

  • Students, faculty, alumni, or incubatees at an IIC-registered institution
  • Innovation/prototype stage (TRL 4-9) - pure idea/PoC submissions must first be upgraded to innovation stage before nomination

Funding Purpose

Grant assistance for innovations nominated through the IIC network, released after regional pitching and business-plan evaluation.

Application Process

Individual submission via the YUKTI portal, then nominated onward by the home institute's IIC.

  3. 3Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a pitch or interview round.
  4. 4The final decision rests solely with the offering organisation.
  5. 5There is no guarantee of funding at any stage.
