Idea Stage Grant (via Startup Manipur)

Overview

The Idea Stage Grant is a scheme run by Startup Manipur, under the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, that supports individuals or groups with innovative, scalable business concepts at the earliest stage of entrepreneurship. It provides seed-level funding to help concepts move from idea to a testable, incubation-ready stage, as part of Manipur's broader startup grant ladder (Idea, Revenue, Stand Up, and CMESS).

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a domicile of Manipur by birth
  • Open to any individual or group of individuals with an innovative idea or concept
  • Mandatory participation in business incubation/bootcamp training

Funding Purpose

The grant, up to Rs. 3 lakh, is meant to help entrepreneurs validate and develop a scalable business concept through incubation, moving it from an idea to a business-ready stage.

Application Process

Applicants apply online through the Startup Manipur portal (apply.startupmanipur.in). The process flow is: online application, document verification, personal interview, bank review, incubation/bootcamp participation, and then funding disbursement.
