Overview

The Manipur Startup Venture Fund (MSVF) is a Rs. 30 crore venture capital initiative of the Department of Planning, Government of Manipur, set up to provide growth-stage capital to startups from the state. NEDFi Venture Capital Limited (NVCL), a subsidiary of the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation, acts as the fund's investment manager, investing through multiple instruments rather than pure grants, positioned above the state's grant-based schemes for startups ready to take on institutional investment.

Eligibility

  • Founder(s) must be a domicile of Manipur by birth
  • Startup must be recognised by the Government of Manipur or DPIIT and registered as a Private Limited Company
  • Must demonstrate market fit and scaling potential
  • Must integrate technology into its core operations or business model

Funding Purpose

The fund invests between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 3 crore per startup through equity, preference shares, debentures, or convertible notes, meant to fuel growth-stage scaling for startups with demonstrated market traction and a technology-driven business model.
