Women/Transgender Productisation Grant

Overview
This is a Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) grant specifically for women and transgender-led startups, providing additional financial support on top of the standard Productisation Grant to help them turn a Minimum Viable Prototype into a market-ready product. It offers up to Rs. 5 lakh in additional grant support over the existing Productization Grant, for a maximum total benefit of up to Rs. 12 lakh. Disbursement follows a milestone-based tranche structure, typically 50% upfront with the remainder released after a progress review.
Eligibility
- Startup must be in the product development stage
- Women or transgender founders must hold a minimum of 51% shareholding
- Must hold a valid KSUM Unique ID
- Must be incorporated as a Private Limited company, LLP, or OPC with active MCA status
- Cannot have previously received the KSUM Scale-up Grant
Funding Purpose
The grant supports product development, validation, and activities that prepare the startup for early market readiness. Excluded expenses include founder salaries, fixed assets, rent, and major infrastructure setup.
