Overview

The MeitY GENESIS EiR (Entrepreneur-in-Residence) Cohort 3 program is part of MeitY's GENESIS (Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups) scheme, delivered locally through Amrita Technology Business Incubator. It offers non-refundable grants to individuals working on very early-stage technology innovations, with Amrita TBI listing funding of up to Rs 10 lakh per startup for this cohort.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be working on an innovation at the stage of ideation, concept development, validation/problem-solution fit, proof of concept, or prototyping
  • Must not have received external funding exceeding Rs 10 lakh
  • Must not have previously been supported under any MeitY scheme for the same idea

Funding Purpose

The EiR grant is meant to give very early-stage innovators, from ideation through working prototype, a non-refundable subsistence and development grant so they can pursue a promising technology idea without needing prior external funding.
