Overview

The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a flagship DPIIT, Government of India initiative that provides financial support to early-stage startups before they have a product, revenue, or investor backing. Amrita Technology Business Incubator is one of the DPIIT-empanelled incubators through which founders in its region can apply.

Eligibility

  • Recognized by DPIIT
  • Incorporated not more than 2 years before the date of application
  • At least 51% shareholding held by Indian promoters at the time of application

Funding Purpose

Funds are given as a milestone-based grant of up to Rs 20 lakh for proof of concept, and as convertible debt or debt-linked instruments of up to Rs 50 lakh for market entry and commercialization activities.

Application Process

DPIIT-recognized startups log in to the national portal at seedfund.startupindia.gov.in using their startup recognition credentials, apply fully online, and choose up to 3 preferred incubators such as Amrita TBI.
