Overview
The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a government-backed initiative created and managed by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), with an outlay of Rs 945 crore aimed at supporting approximately 3,600 entrepreneurs through 300 incubators over four years. JECRC Incubation Centre is one of the empanelled incubators through which startups can access the scheme, which helps early-stage startups move from concept validation through commercialization.
Eligibility
- DPIIT-recognized startups incorporated within 2 years of application
- Core product or service must utilize technology
- Prior monetary support under government schemes limited to a maximum of Rs 10 lakhs
- Indian promoters must hold minimum 51 percent shareholding
Funding Purpose
Funding covers proof of concept validation of core technology and business models, product trials for real-world testing, and market entry and commercialization support, provided as grant awards and/or debt and convertible debentures.
