Overview
The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), delivered through Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation (CIIF) as an approved incubator, is part of the national Startup India program and is designed to foster innovation by giving potential entrepreneurs financial support to move from early stage development toward being investment ready. It offers support in both grant and debt instrument form to DPIIT recognized startups.
Eligibility
- DPIIT recognized startup incorporated within 2 years of application
- Technology based product, service, business model, or distribution approach
- Viable commercialization potential and scope for scaling
- Prior government support received capped at Rs. 10 lakhs maximum
- Minimum 51% Indian promoter shareholding
Funding Purpose
A convertible debenture of up to Rs. 50 lakhs and a grant of up to Rs. 20 lakhs per innovator fund different stages: the grant supports proof of concept, prototype development, and product trials, while the debenture supports market entry and commercialization.

Applicants apply directly on the national portal at seedfund.startupindia.gov.in, selecting CIIF as their preferred incubator.
