Overview

NIDHI PRAYAS (Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring innovators and Startups) is a Department of Science and Technology (DST) initiative implemented across India, with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) acting as a designated PRAYAS Centre administering the scheme locally under oversight from the PRAYAS Monitoring Committee. It provides financial assistance of up to Rs. 10 lakh as a grant for prototype development, testing, validation, and limited commercialization readiness, with a maximum support duration of 18 months.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen above 18 years of age
  • Open to individual innovators or early-stage startups
  • Idea must be at the Proof of Concept stage
  • Must involve physical product development, pure software projects are not eligible
  • Cannot have previously received PRAYAS support for the same or a different idea

Funding Purpose

Grants support prototype development, testing, validation, and limited commercialization readiness activities.

Application Process
